Why Play?

The question often asked is "Why would people need to play 'Conversations'? It is an interesting question that led me to refocus on the end result. The answer for me is that now, more than ever, we need to really communicate on a soul level with each other. Through the game and through seminars, my ideal is to facilitate that type of communication for others as well as for myself

I am constantly becoming more aware of the need to start with self. Even as I produced the game, I became aware of how easy it could be for me to fall into old comfort zones of judging others. We all have a wonderful opportunity for change. We can walk the talk

This comment from the Australian CWG newsletter from a few years ago outlines the revelations that can occur in playing the game:

"A miracle occurred at the first playing of the "Conversations Game" in Brisbane on 15th February 2001, facilitated by the creator of the game, Barry Auchettl. Traditionally the saying has been "Let Go & Let God", however Dennis, one of the players, drew a card that read "Let Go & Be God".  Everybody resonated with it and took this new version to heart.  Understanding that it meant that we are all God and to give up the illusion of separateness.   It was just so perfect!  The people sitting next to him also read the card with this new wonderful version. After the game, when packing up Dennis discovered that the card now read "Let Go & Let God".  Barry remembered from when he had written the cards that he did not type a card that said "Let Go & Be God".   But three people had read the new version, and it had been perfect for everybody that night.

The question is not to whom do I talk, but who listens?

So in trust, I believe the game's energy can look after itself. For me, I choose to remain clear regardless of what happens around me and to the game.

I look forward to the possibility of playing the game with you sometime.
