Conversations is a wonderful team building process that is providing an opportunity to support the professional development of all those who choose to play. The game has already proven itself by having positive impacts on the culture of the workplaces as well as positive personal changes for the participants who engage in the process.
Barry Auchettl, Creator and Executive Manage of Conversations
Conversations is a collaborative communication tool to create the benefits of shared wisdom and improved teamwork within the workplace.
Corporate Conversations consists of four cycles. Each cycle each builds upon the other, developing and enhancing active, purposeful communication. The unique fourth cycle is used by a corporate facilitator to help the benefits of the game continue after the game is completed.

The First Cycle: Aspect The chosen aspect becomes their particular perspective for the game and is used to introduce the group to the conversation. |

The Second Cycle: Life

The second cycle allows further exploration of this aspect in relation to an individual experiences and current insights. The Life cycle reflects what is happening now to both the individual and the organisation. Skills learnt include finding a balance between being an active speaker and an active listener. |

The Third Cycle: Inspiration
|
The third cycle allows the conversation to move out of the drama of life and to take a new perspective of their aspect. The inspiration cycle shifts the conversations to a new level and encourages participants to move beyond any initial limitation, inspiring greater depth of individual insights leading a a change in the ethos of the organisation. |

The Fourth Cycle: Cue Cards
The fourth cycle allows participants to be reminded of the benefits well after the game is played, by focusing on the main benefit of the game for each participant. Participants keep these cards as a reminder to continue authentic conversations.
Achieving a Conversation
There are no "right" or "wrong" opinions. Acceptance of all opinions is part of the game. How we treat any differences (and each other) makes this a remarkable process.
It is not even necessary for every particpant to "have a go" in each cycle of the game, for conversation to be successfully achieved. Indeed, you will find that you are "having a go" all of the time, simply by listening and applying everyone else's insights to yourself.
Remember - there are no individual winners in the game - everyone wins.
Most importantly, enjoy the process and have fun !
